Introduction

Gylling GeoSolutions has been providing services in the fields of groundwater flow and solute transport since April 2018, built on fairly long experiences from participation in safety assessments, site investigations, design, and coordination of research. Björn Gylling

Björn Gylling holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from KTH in Stockholm, Sweden, and has 27 years of experience in reactive transport modeling of contaminants in natural and man-made systems. He was employed at Kemakta Consultants between 1997 - 2010 and during that time he worked with, among other things, the Swedish site investigation programs SDM Site Forsmark and SDM-Site Laxemar within the areas of groundwater flow and geosphere transport and contributed to the safety assessments SR-97, SR Can and SR Site. Since then, he has been employed at SKB between July 2010 and March 2018 and has, among other things, been the head manager for the area of Solute transport. In addition, he was the substitute head manager for Hydrogeology for more than a year at SKB. During almost the entire career, the work within the international Task Force on modeling of Groundwater Flow and Transport of Solutes has been a source of knowledge, and developments and information exchange.
